Beach Cleanliness Drive
Human rubbish can be toxic to the beach and marine environments. Take cigarette butts as an example. While the butts are small, they are poisonous and contaminate a lot of water when they end up in the ocean. Rubbish is not only an eye-sore, but it can also pose a danger to beachgoers. Metal, glass, and plastics with sharp edges are a public hazard. On the other hand, clean beach attracts a lot of tourists to the locality which in turn is good for local economy.IDA organised such beach cleanup drives with participants from all age group.
